Pal lives in Bangalore, India, with his partner. Arunava Sinha translates classic, modern, and contemporary Bengali literature from India and Bangladesh into English. He is an associate professor of practice in the Creative Writing Department at Ashoka University, India, and codirector of the Ashoka Centre for Translation.
