The "Up the River" script earned quarter-finalist status in the 2018 Los Angeles International Screenplay Award (2,500 entries). That, plus "Consider" coverage reports, ranks "Up the River" in the top three-percent of all scripts written. The anthology of short stories pays homage to Hitchcock twist endings with an ample dose of humor. Up the River - And 82 Selected Short Stories is Wayne's second book, following on the heels of Barnstorm - A Novel. As the title might suggest, Page enjoys the short story genre. The love of short stories came from leading creative writing classes at the University of Cincinnati OLLI adult education program (Curing the Blank Page).
