Kamau clashes both on and off the field with Hannes Roux, a Springbok and secret member of the South African security service.

Kamau, now a committed member of the anti-apartheid resistance ANC, operating as a clandestine agent in South Africa, is captured and tortured by Hannes Roux, by this time a senior member of the ruthless South African Security police.
